The figures depicted in Fikos’ works create body complexes that one could compare to abstract compositions. This feeling is enhanced through the use of clean lines and solid blocks of colour, each calculated to hold the perfect balance in the works. The artist, through his works, communicates a personal form of poetry.

Through the exhibition ‘I’m Talking about Life’, Fikos evolves. He continues his artists journey and escapes from the iconographic style of Byzantine art, without losing his identity and his unique style.  In this new body of work, he is influenced by ancient Greece, the Hellenistic period and Egypt. He does not focus on a single subject matter, on the contrary each artwork presents a different situation. The vast variety of themes indicates, as the title of the exhibition suggests, that the artist draws inspiration from life in general. At a first glance, the artworks present scenes from historical events, fiction, social or a combination. However, looking closely, the viewer realizes that each artwork represents a deeper state of the human psychosynthesis.
